EFMD Sharing Best Practice CLIP workshopCreating Business impact – The Learning function, an agile partner to support the company's short and long term challenge
The EFMD workshop has been held
EFMD Sharing Best Practice CLIP workshop 24 (evening) - 25 September, 2009 in Aix-en-ProvenceHosted by STUniversity, STMicroelectronics and supported by AREVA University Campus Aix-en-Provence
In light of the changing economic environment, the Learning 0rganisation's practices designed to enable a long term view of learning must also be effective in adapting quickly to change.
The challenge lies in being able to respond to the longer term needs of the company by contributing to growth and to the attainment of strategic goals, while at the same time paying close attention to changing priorities and new challenges.
It's a helter-skelter ride to position short, medium and long term strategies. The Learning Organisation is confronted at the same time with high expectations regarding the impact upon business results and employee engagement, with the demands for immediate solutions to develop an individual's capacity to learn what is needed "here and now", and with the long term expectations in people development.
This workshop will address issues that Corporate Universities and Learning 0rganisations are facing today as business partners in companies facing crisis and constant change:
What type of governance is needed to respond rapidly to the present challenges?
What proactive organisation does a Learning Organisation have to put in place in order to maintain its position as a strategic partner bringing business impact and perceived added value?
How can short term learning objectives transform into long term personal development plans and career paths?
What steps can be taken to guarantee THE RIGHT learning solution?
How to use state-of-the-art infrastructure to respond to business constraints?
How can the Learning Organisation maintain its competitive advantage over external competitors?
Gérard Mangin, Director of Education will share with the participants the ST University experience. Other company cases will be presented by Mireille Oliver, Vice President Campus Aix-en-Provence, AREVA University and Siegfried Hoenle, Chief Learning Officer, Head of Credit Suisse Business School.
