This certificate, first awarded to Alcatel University in 2003, is recognition that a corporate learning organization has achieved a high level of quality as evaluated by learning professionals from various industries. Certification is awarded to eligible companies who not only satisfactorily meet CLIP standards, but are also committed to continuous improvement and have specific agendas for future development. In announcing the accreditation of Alcatel-Lucent University for further five years, Gordon Shenton, EFMD Associate Director, said, “The Peer Review team has no hesitation in recommending that the Alcatel‑Lucent University should be re-accredited for a further five years. In undergoing this renewed assessment, Alcatel-Lucent University has demonstrated that it remains firmly positioned in the company, that it has top level support for its mission, that it is widely appreciated throughout the company for the quality of its services, and that it is adequately staffed and managed. It is recognised as an integral and necessary part of the business, contributing greatly to the value proposition for customers and for internal clients.”
